Takes quite a few.

I'm looking at an AMD X570 chipset with the Ryzen 5 processor and
RX480 graphics card.
  Summary seems it's my bad timing, it's all a bit too new?

To move to AMD I guess I should be waiting another 12 months, when my
system is starting
to become a little flaky.

I *think* amdgpu is a non worker on Fedora (see my earlier link).
