Before you reboot check the system and user journals for clues to why the 
system hung.

I don't think that matters.

I do not have l /etc/rc.d/init.d/livesys on my system.
Maybe a left over from a original install? It is likely you can delete that 
file.

there are people there with a lot of nvidia experience.
