I've put a minimal example at: http://pastebin.ca/1717751 . Choosing between the static and dynamic ggplot (midway in the code) produces a different ggplot object later on with the same plot construction sequence. When examining each 'out' object using R's str command, I found that the importr ggplot resulted in no layers in my plot, while the static lib ggplot worked fine. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
