Hi, I get charged for traffic on my server, so I'd like to keep track of what my data transfer is. I get charged once a month.
I'd like to use rrdtool to tell me what the data transferred in a month *will be*, given a counter for network I/O. I was wondering whether it's possible to keep a running average of traffic rates, and multiply this number by the number of seconds in a month. If I plot this product as a gauge I should get a moving estimate of the month's data transfer (AND on the last day of the month, it should be correct!). :-) Any ideas?
