I think you should be looking at DERIVE. :) - -----Original Message----- From: Adrienne Kotzé [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 23:36 To: rrd-users Subject: [rrd-users] What type of DS should I use ? Hi there people, Just a quick question. I want to feed the following values into a RRD 10 20 25 35 42 and upon graphing get the values 10 5 10 7 So basically I want to plot the difference between the values fed into the RRD. As far as I can see not COUNTER (takes the average over time), GAUGE (takes the absolute value), DERIVE (like COUNTER but can handle negative delta values) or ABSOLUTE (also average over time, but does not work on delta). Am I missing something here, because this would have come up before I believe. Any comment most welcome.
