Kevin, you need to do this yourself - this is standard across pretty well most mailing lists. The list users don't have access to do this, so posting to the list is no use unless a list admin happens to be reading and manually acts on your request.
If you look at the full headers for each mail you receive from the list, you'll see that they contain this : >List-Id: Help and discussion among RRDtool users <rrd-users.lists.oetiker.ch> >List-Unsubscribe: <https://lists.oetiker.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/rrd-users>, > <mailto:[email protected]?subject=unsubscribe> >List-Archive: <http://lists.oetiker.ch/pipermail/rrd-users> >List-Post: <mailto:[email protected]> >List-Help: <mailto:[email protected]?subject=help> >List-Subscribe: <https://lists.oetiker.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/rrd-users>, > <mailto:[email protected]?subject=subscribe> Unfortunately, most popular mail clients "helpfully" hide these from you. Just click on one of the unsubscribe links and you can remove yourself - either by sending a control email to the mailing list software, or via it's web interface. Also, in the footer of every list message is this : _______________________________________________ >rrd-users mailing list >[email protected] >https://lists.oetiker.ch/cgi-bin/listinfo/rrd-users Clicking on that link takes you to the web page for the list where you can unsubscribe. -- Simon Hobson Visit http://www.magpiesnestpublishing.co.uk/ for books by acclaimed author Gladys Hobson.
