I will look at the python code, as suggested, as this should help
me understand the necessary components.

I haven't found one so far, so I will probably go ahead and create
a sourceforge project. Just one question, should it be called jrsync,
j-rsync - jsync shows up some matches which are not pertinent to
rsync, so I would rather avoid any confusions.
