Might the --address= option below, in conjunction with your IP filtering, do what you want? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ --address By default rsync will bind to the wildcard address when run as a daemon with the --daemon option or when con- necting to a rsync server. The --address option allows you to specify a specific IP address (or hostname) to bind to. This makes virtual hosting possible in con- junction with the --config option.

Classification: Hi, Is there a network interface listen command for rsync so that for a system with multiple network cards and multiple IP addresses - rsync will only be visible on a defined interface and defined IPs? Like in samba?: e.g., bind interfaces only = True interfaces = eth0 193.xy.zz.aa 193.xy.zz.ab Can't seem to find such a thing in the documentation. Cheers, Lachlan. ----------------------- Lachlan M.
