now about having
exclude from = somefile
when you don't want it read, echo '*' >somefile.
to open it, true>somefile
or are you using --delete... I think server-side excludes aren't
recognized as such by the client, and thus, it'll act like 'rsync --delete
--delete-excluded -a rsyncdserver:module /path'

Hey all,
Like a lot of folks, I use rsync to pull content out to production web
servers. Tastes great, less filling.
Here's what I'd like to be able to do: Sometimes a web tree is not ready
to sync, for whatever reason. I have many modules available, so stopping
ryncd is not an option. I'd like to be able to tell rsync in daemon mode
"this particular module is not available at the moment". Ideally this
would be script friendly, maybe a simple file check; if module_down file
exists, display contents and exit.
Thoughts? Would it be worth my time creating a patch and how would folks
prefer I implement?
