I vote for this feature. In du and df commands, this is invoked with:
-h, --human-readable
print sizes in human readable format (e.g., 1K 234M 2G)

--si likewise, but use powers of 1000 not 1024

Currently, in rsync, -h is the short form of --help.

Cheers,
        Manuel.

Hello,

I would like to suggest an option to rsync that makes it output sizes
in human readable units, instead of always using bytes. So

  Total file size: 30864401502 bytes

would be output as:

  Total file size: 28.7 GiB

Similarly for mebibytes and kibibytes.

If there's already such an option, then I'm sorry -- I didn't find it
in the manual pages.
