When run with --delay-updates rsync keeps changed files in directories .~tmp~ (or the name given with --partial-dir) in each directory until downloading is finished, then moves them to place and removes .~tmp~. If an interruption occurs, they're left as is and in the next run they'll be used to speed up the update and then moved.
What happens if [some of] these files no longer exist in the source when the next run happens? Are they, and .~tmp~, removed or kept?
