I backed up all the user files on machine using rsync, and I have a directory
on my backup machine that looks like:

0 drwxr-xr-x 27 1027 1028 918 May 20 2009 hankz

Now I want to transfer all these files to the new machine, but preserving the
UID/GID combinations.
I am assuming that I need to (temporarily) set the rsync daemon on the new
machine to run as root. Is that as simple as setting the rsyncd.conf
uid = root
gid = wheel
or is there anything else I need to do?
My current file looks like this:
uid = nobody
gid = nobody
use chroot = no
max connections = 4
syslog facility = local5
[root]
path = /
comment = root
auth users = root
read only = no
secrets file = /usr/local/etc/rsyncd.secrets
