rsync/ssh/root

Hi,

A new bee question. I would like to do file transfer, from a cronjob and
command line,
as root using rcp with /.rhosts files defined in both hosts. I would like to
eliminate those
/.rhosts files and be able to do the same thing using a combination of
rsync/ssh. Is this
doable ? Other ways to rcp as root without defining /.rhosts are also
appreciated.
