Hi List, We have an issue when using ommysql to send stuff to mysql. If the mysql server is already up then everything is good, messages get's inserted into mysql. However, since rsyslog provide fundamental logging facilities for the server, there is not much option for us to have it start after mysql.
When more messages are sent to rsyslog, everything that was accumulated in the queue finally get's saved into mysql but that is suboptimal as we would like to have stuff into mysql as long as mysql is up and running. We also need this to reliably allow mysql to go down and up and messages still sent to it as soon as it comes up. In my understanding rsyslog supports that, but perhaps a special config parameter should be supplied to enable this? Many thanks! -Sivan _______________________________________________ rsyslog mailing list http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog http://www.rsyslog.com
