I know that I see the stop message on a regular basis on my systems, but I
don't have worker queues setup, just the main queue (memory-only)

Hi,
FWIW, when I stop rsyslog (sudo /etc/init.d/rsyslog stop for instanceq),
the last message I see is the sudo message. I could swear I have seen a
shutdown message in the past, but I just tried several times, and no such
luck. Does sound like a race -- perhaps due to the message about the sudo?

post your complete minimal config that leads to the problem? Maybe I can
reproduce it if I use the exact same one...
Complete config is in one line:
*.* /tmp/wszystko.log
That's all, no imklog, no imfile:)
