My fault, I had assumed you used the newest version. I should have asked ;) In 
any case, I think to 50ms shutdown delay I integrated makes  probably sense in 
a couple of environments. And I don't see it causes any notable problem or 
delay...

Thanks for your persistence and keep posting. It helps make rsyslog even better
