So I'm looking at rsyslog / build / rhel / rsyslog / rsyslog.init in the Github repo and it doesn't have the -t option at all in the rsyslog.init file. I agree it should actually be there. I verified that killproc works with -d in CentOS as well. I'll go ahead and add a merge to get an updated -d 30 added to the init script.
I am curious where you cloned the RPM from? My assumption is that it was the CentOS RPMs?
