Hi,
I'm able to get ommail to send a log message to an email address, even with
some minor changes such as adding a timestamp using legacy syntax and a
template:

$template mailSubject, "'%HOSTNAME%' - '%TIMESTAMP%' - '%msg%'"
if $msg contains '622001' then :ommail:;mailSubject

where the actions within the template define mail server, recipients etc.

What I am trying to do is send an email with a custom subject line based on
the content of the $msg. For example, if the message logged is:
Jan 10 02:01:39 labcsmfw1 : %ASA-6-622001: Removing tracked route 0.0.0.0
0.0.0.0 192.168.201.1, distance 254, table Default-IP-Routing-Table, on
interface outsidebk

I want to send an email with "'%HOSTNAME%' '%TIMESTAMP%' - Removed route
from outsidebk"

I'm looking for some guidance on how to build the rsyslog.conf file so this
logic can take place.
