Short version: http://ppa.launchpad.net/adiscon/v8-stable/ubuntu/dists/jessie/main/binary-amd64/Packages gives a 404. This seems to happen when one does the following (from https://apps.sematext.com/logsene-reports/client.do#rsyslog ): Add the repository definition: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:adiscon/v8-stable Install rsyslog: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install rsyslog rsyslog-mmnormalize rsyslog-elasticsearch Not sure if this is a launchpad.net issue or .... somebody on our team comment on this issue with "I think from time to time, rsyslog repo is not working". Known issue?
