It looks like there was work done on the name value parser, but it did not make it to the doc:
https://github.com/rsyslog/liblognorm/issues/33 We should try to add the few missing bits there, as we do not like to add more and more single use parser modules to rsyslog. I understand that this is easiest from a contributor POV, but it's ready bad from the projects POV. As long as you don't need the module merged, any approach is of course fine.
