I have an issue I’m stuck on and I’m hoping someone here has the answer. I have about 30 clients sending their log files to my centralized Syslog server. Most of the log files are going where I want them, however the /var/log/messages, & secure log files are going to the centralized server, but to its/var/log/messages & secure files. This is causing the /var partition to fill up to 100% very quickly.
my goal is to have ALL log files go to the centralized server under /Remote/logs/%HOSTNAME%/%PROGRAMNAME%.log I feel like there is something easy that I’m missing. I was a Linux Admin fore a few years until I was pulled into a much different direction for the past three years. I finally got back to being an admin, and my skills are beyond rusty. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. v/r Jerry Pruchniewski _______________________________________________ rsyslog mailing list http://lists.adiscon.net/mailman/listinfo/rsyslog http://www.rsyslog.com/professional-services/ What's up with rsyslog?
