Sorry, I didn't fully read this section. If it's essential that you have a repository which is maintained for lenny during its lifetime in the long-term and suitable for being maintained for an "appliance" where there is no expert local admin, I would recommend maintaining your own repository based on the packages from Debian proper, but we can consider maintaining one on alioth.debian.org if that makes the most sense.
