Gary, There is also a google group called at-users that has been very helpful for us, but right now I can't get into it to point you to the solution. Did they kill google groups as I had heard threatened?
But we had the same problem and I nice guy named Rolf provided a solution. AFAIK he is the most active supporter of the AssetTracker module. He has his own fork on github but there was some talk on at-us...@googlegroups.com of folding his fixes into the main branch.
