Several reasons are possible:
* Your kernel configuration:
- is powermanagement disabled?
- is DMA disabled?
* Software running on your Mandrake system might use the forbidden
"cli" instruction. F.e. the driver for your XServer might use that
instruction.
Installed rtai latency = max=2 ms
Live latency = 20 us !
