A few but important bug fixes have made their way to the nucleus (timer
+ fpu).

The real-time HAL has also been reworked and simplified; this comes with
a bonus: the local APIC is now automatically used by the nucleus in
uniprocessor mode to perform its timings when the corresponding kernel
option has been configured in (CONFIG_X86_LOCAL_APIC). Latencies
observed in APIC mode look even better than those obtained by using the
8254, so if you have one on your CPU, you might want to give it a try.
Be sure to use the latest Adeos patch for 2.6.7 available in the 0.4
distro.

Aside of having better latencies, 0.4 is now functionally ahead of the
Xenomai support currently available in 3.0 or 3.1; so the latter will be
the last 3.x release to integrate such support. From now on, arch-ports
and other improvements to the Xenomai core will go to the fusion branch
exclusively.
