Job Title Embedded Software Test Engineer Work Location Milford Proving Grounds, MI Job Description Responsibilities: * Onsite diagnostics test activities (test specification/test cases/test execution) * Feasibility study for requirements viz. if testable, queries, changes, etc. * Test environment creation. * Executing the diagnostics test by injecting the faults in systems. * Develop test procedure & linking test specifications to SRS (assigned programs) * Test case writing in AutoVal. * Highlighting risk of schedule. Required Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical/Computer Engineering. * Automotive domain knowledge and work experience * Practical knowledge writing code and understanding code written in embedded C, for embedded automotive applications. * Experience in diagnostic testing, CAPL scripting, fundamentals of ECU (any ECU), and software lifecycle. * Hands-on and working experience in protocols used in automotive domain (UDS, KWP, CAN). * Good technical interpretation skills for system requirements (For any powertrain application like engine, transmission etc.) and debugging skills using same/similar tools. * Experience working in automotive domain or powertrain domain knowledge. * Experience working with IBM DOORS, IBM Synergy, prepare test plans. * Review deliverables as per expectations from the customer referring their review checklists. Check in deliverables into customer CM system. * Experience with MATLAB tool chain (This will be helpful in performing tasks). Desired Qualifications & Skills: * Good to have ISTQB foundation level certified. * Experience on working with onsite-offshore model and customer relationship management. * A good team player, who can be an interface between different stakeholders in project.
