Technical/Functional Skills • Mechanical systems design and test experience in machine automation, robotics, liquid handling, or laboratory instrumentation is a plus. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and on cross-functional teams. • Must be fluent in both reading and writing English. • Strong documentation, communication and interpersonal skills. • Mechanical design, modeling, GD&T, performance analysis, and tradeoff analysis. • Experience with SolidWorks modeling of Machined, Plastic and Sheet metal components. • Experience with creating detailed drawings that are compliant with ASME dimensioning and tolerance standards. • Experience in the design of injection molded components is a plus. • Experience with IVD and/or Life Science instruments is a plus. • Experience with hands-on machining and bench fabrication is a plus. • Rapid 3D prototyping experience is a plus. • Experience with thermodynamics is a huge plus. • Experience with python scripting is a huge plus. • Experience with building cables by hand is a plus.
