*Role: Senior API Engineer ( APIGEE )* *Location: Irving, TX*
*Duration: 6+ Months* *Job Summary:* The Senior Engineer will play an instrumental role in developing and supporting API Gateway implementation supporting both customers facing and internal API. The engineer will work closely with Integration Architect, product management, application and enterprise service teams to design and implement a robust API Gateway experience along with providing support for application monitoring. *Desired Experience:* - 3-5 years of progressive experience with a strong background in Java - Deep technical hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs - Experience in developing or leveraging API Gateway for runtime governance and security of backend services - Technical hands-on experience with Microservices Architecture Style and the related patterns, where software is developed as small and independently deployable services that work together modeled around a business domain - Working knowledge of building Microservices using a leading technology stack such as Spring Cloud - Experienced in working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, Oracle, DynamoDB, MongoDB - Experienced in building APIs with OAuth, Tokenization, Encryption - Working proficiency in developmental toolsets - Experienced working in distributed Agile teams comprised of 8-10 cross-skilled engineers *Roles & Responsibilities:* - Implement API proxies on Apigee Gateway using defined standards and processes including CI/CD integration and deployment automation. - Build reusable gateway policies and code templates to extend API proxies with capabilities supporting security models and other API Proxy level capabilities - Support rollout of an Apigee Gateway and Developer Portal for customers - Provide on-going support of Apigee Gateway to customers and proactively assist in resolving issues and supporting build and rollout of new capabilities - Support other team members in building strong solutions - Display a strong work ethic and sense of urgency - Demonstrates a strong initiative to make things happen - Sets high standards of performance for self and team members Thanks...
