TITLE: SQL DEVELOPER WITH DB ADMIN EXPERIENCE
LOCATION: CHARLOTTE, NC
DURATION: 6+ MONTHS CONTRACT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* The candidate is expected to have very STRONG SQL DEVELOPER SKILLS
WITH DB ADMIN background who can write and debug very complex T-SQL
code and possibly develop SSIS packages.
* Ideally who can interact with the customer (Application Managers
and Technical/ Business experts), build knowledge of application and
servers quickly, attend technical discussions/ key meetings with
customer and provide solutions.
* An ideal candidate must have been in a lead role, capable of
working independently and provide necessary support to keep
applications and servers running, coordinate with other teams and own
the resolution.
HANDS-ON WITH MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH
* SQL SERVER BACK-END DEVELOPMENT: STORED PROCEDURES, FUNCTIONS,
TRIGGERS, TABLES, VIEWS, COMPLEX QUERIES
* SQL SERVER 2008 TILL SQL SERVER 2016 OR ABOVE AS CORE PRODUCTION
DBA
* Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
* SQL DATABASE WITH T-SQL AND SSIS DEVELOPMENT
* Advance query concepts (e.g. group by, having clause, union so on)
* SQL CLUSTERING, LOG SHIPPING, MIRRORING, REPLICATION, SQL ALWAYSON,
HA IMPLEMENTATION AND DR STRATEGY
* Restructuring the stored procedure, designing, coding and
developing the same using the T_SQL Programming
* Daily regular DB refreshes, troubleshooting space issues and
recommending solutions quickly
* Writing optimized SQL queries for integration with other
applications
CRITICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
* Have worked on several projects with onsite and offshore model
where the candidate should have been the key onsite technical team
member
* Good exposure to agile and scrum based development, preferably with
DevOps experience
* Excellent communication skills and to have 1:1 discussion with
customer at different levels
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills and having demonstrated
in large projects
* Ability to independently design, develop and optimize database
tables and dictionaries
* Sound knowledge on backup/restore strategies for small to very big
platforms
* Independently analyse, solve and correct issues in real time while
providing efficient resolutions
* Should be good at identifying, analysing Issues and fast in fixing
the same
* Strong knowledge in creating views, functions and stored procedures
* Having good understanding of major SQL performance counters and
threshold values to identify major performance bottlenecks
* Participation in discussions, understanding requirements and
provide the back-end functionality for the applications
* Develop and support complex SQL, tuning of DML and the creation of
stored procedures
* Assist with complex query tuning and schema refinement
* Work with all levels of development from analysis through
implementation and support
OTHERS (DESIRABLE)
* Experience in Cataloguing/ Library Domain is a huge plus
* Experience with Azure SQL service tiers, Azure SQL VM and SQL
managed instance implementations
* Experience troubleshooting the performance issues in Azure SQL
using the DMVs, profiler, performance monitor, waits and queues
* Experience in Azure Data bricks, Azure data warehouse/Synapse and
performance troubleshooting of such databases
* Knowledge on Azure Data factory, Azure Data lake and using them
preparing different packages for data integrations
* Has experience in interacting with teams across multiple time zones
