Position Title : QA Tester

Expected Duration : 5+ Months with possibility of extension or Permanent

Location : Boise, ID

Rate: $50/Hr on C2C

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Job Description:

   - Verbal and written communication skills are necessary
   - Tester to support current work assignments within Healthcare project.
   - Manual/functional testing skills.
   - Skills required: Healthcare, Manual/functional testing, SQL,
   ALM(Application Lifecycle Management), waterfall, Defect Management.
   - Candidates need to be experienced Testers, very familiar with the MMIS
   system and ALM.

Required Skills and Abilities:

   - 5-7 years of software testing experience in a Windows client/server
   and web-based environments
   - Professional industry certification desired
   - Experience with all types of Testing
   - In-depth knowledge of Testing procedures and theory
   - Ability to create detailed Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Defects
   - Experience working with BA's to develop test scenarios and test cases
   - Experience working with Developers to create test data
   - Experience executing test scripts, running batch jobs, evaluating
   reports, exercising on-line functionality via Web and Client Server
   - Ability to package test results for client review
   - In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, platforms, and
   operating systems
   - Experience with all Microsoft Windows platforms
   - Experience working in SQL Server and Oracle databases
   - Experience in testing multi-tier client and web/server applications
   - Excellent problem solving, issue identification and technical
   documentation skills
   - Dedication to meeting the needs of the Business, Team Members, and
   Peers
   - Medicaid background and knowledge of general healthcare principles a
   plus
   - Ability to meet every commitment. Availability to test within testing
   deadlines (weekend and evenings, when necessary)
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
   - Bachelor’s degree in IT and/or a related field or equivalent experience

Essential Job Tasks

   - Perform complex testing tasks requiring planning, scheduling and
   testing to assure that developed products meet design specifications and
   are within specified quality limits and standards. Perform work on highly
   complex technical assignments. Interact with the Business, Product and
   Project Management, Development, Release Management, Documentation and
   Operations on a regular basis.

Test Planning Tasks:

   - Review Test Plans and other Test Documentation
   - Develop test descriptions/processes and systematic actions necessary
   to provide adequate confidence that completed software products meet or
   exceed given requirements
   - Assist in defining processes used to validate software
   - Certify that all builds meet or exceed ship criteria
   - Certify final software package for external Release

Testing Tasks:

   - Develop, execute, and maintain Test Cases for assigned products
   - Test application in multiple hardware / operating system / database /
   network environments
   - Work closely with Release Management and Development Teams
   - Validate Training Manuals, User Manuals, and Help Systems for
   technical correctness, completeness, and usability
   - Document and review Defect/Incident Reports (HP’s ALM Tool)
   - Validate that Defect/Incident Reports have been corrected and have not
   created new issues
   - Review Functional Requirements and Designs for accuracy and
   completeness
   - Use various testing tools as needed
   - Review and update Test Documentation

Non-Testing Tasks:

   - Interact with the Business, Product and Project Management,
   Development, Release Management and Operations to clarify design issues,
   integration requirements and other operational issues.
   - Provide communication link between SMES, Development and Release
   Management
   - Provide 3rd Level Support by working with Documentation and Operations
   as backup help when attempting to solve a Business-Related problem or
   better understand the software
   - Support and aid fellow software testers
