*Primary Skillset :* *Administration of Azure Data Solutions primarily SQL
server. Managed SQLDB, Azure Data Warehouse, SQLDB*
*Secondary Skillset **: **Operation and Maintenance of Azure Data
warehouse/Synapse.*
*Detailed JD:*
*High level JD*
1. Administration of all flavors of SQL server. Managed SQLDB, Azure
Data Warehouse, SQLDB.
2. Includes provisioning of authentication to above databases
integrating with Active Directory.
3. Operation and maintenance of ADW/Synapse.
4. Thorough understanding of data modelling and data warehousing.
*Detailed JD*
- *D*B administration activities such as Maintaining Azure Storage and
ability to automate tasks using Azure agent jobs, Optimize IOPS, IQPs.
- Creating tables with the Data Model gaurd rails, Index management,
tuning, HA/Scaling as required.
- Perform Table & Query Optimization using IQP, DMVs etc
- Working knowledge of Azure’s DevOs and Azure boards.
- Ability to work and follow architectural & DB administration guidelines
- Ability to deploy DBs using Manual or Azure deployment templates
- Ability to provide Point of View on Scalability/ HA/ DR / Security of
current and future state DB Architectures
- Participate in Azure migration effort and consult on Online - Offline
migration modes
- Understanding of Azure AD entities and security principals. Implement
and maintain the Azure AD.
- Hands On implementation of Data Security using TDE ( Transparent Data
encryption ), Object Level Encryption, Dynamic Data Masking & Azure Key
Vault
- Be able to monitor and report DB performance using built in tools like
- Azure SQL Database Intelligent Performance and work with configuration
parameters like AutoClose, AutoShrink, AutoGrowth

Exam - 70-765 ( Provisioning SQL Databases )
Exam - 70-462 ( Administering Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014 Databases )
Exam 70-767: Implementing a Data Warehouse using SQL
Exam 70-764: Administering a SQL Database Infrastructure
