Role: Data Analyst Location: Wartford, MA Long Term Contract looking for resource who has data engineering experience using python and have good knowledge of cloud (preferred is azure) Data Engineer/Analyst . 6-month contract, with possibility of extension . No travel required Abbott is looking for a motivated data engineer/analyst to join our R&D team. You'll be working with data collected from cardiology catheter labs around the country, helping to understand what factors best contribute to consistent, high-quality patient care. The position includes: . Cleaning and preparing data for analysis . Identifying data inconsistencies and errors . Working with field engineers to resolve the errors . Producing ad-hoc analysis and reporting for project leadership . Generating on-going reports of data collection progress . Mentoring field engineers in analyzing subsets of the data . Analyzing data to prove the impact of different factors on procedure efficiency and efficacy Technology stack includes: . Python . Pandas, numpy, scipy . Matplotlib, <http://plot.ly> plot.ly . Excel . JMP . Azure, Office 365 Qualified candidates must have: . 3-5 years of relevant work experience in data analysis and engineering . Experience with manipulating data and generating statistics in some programming language, preferably Python or R. . Strong grasp of statistics. E.g., should know how to calculate confidence intervals, p-values, etc. . Good experience generating simple data visualizations (bar plots, scatter, plots, box plots, etc) The following experience is helpful but not mandatory: . Experience dealing with medical data, especially cardiology . Experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Azure .
