This position is within Information Research (R&D) Business Technology Solutions (BTS) organization, responsible for providing appropriate technology consultation, guidance, and leadership to Global Medical Affairs. The Digital Content Consultant is the technology consultant assigned to oversee and develop Solution Proposals to help frame scope, estimate, build timelines, alignment with corporate standards, data privacy for technology needs being requested from the various Therapeutic areas and affiliates regarding Global Medical Affairs digital content. This role will also do coordination and oversight across different groups to gain alignment and commitments. The Digital Content Consultant is responsible to proactively understand Therapeutic area (TA) technology needs for their digital content. They will educate the TA teams on existing technology capabilities, and influence/develop capabilities roadmaps. He/she will stay on top of technology trends and perform the required technical research and due diligence when necessary to recommend the use of new technology capabilities, balancing opportunities for innovation, business benefits, existing IT standards, and IT roadmaps. To be successful, the candidate is expected to have technical and functional experience around digital technology capabilities and how different solutions interact with each other to enable business outcomes. This role will be required to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization, to ensure business value can be delivered with the solutions being proposed. This position is responsible for planning and overseeing a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion, including securing cross-functional alignment on project scope, benefits, cost, and timeline. He/she is expected to work effectively across various IT shared services teams, external Marketing Agencies, and other Commercial business stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities/Duties * Proactively understand the business requirements and the technology needs. * Understand both data and technology capabilities already in use across Phramaceutical client and recommend appropriate application. * Uses technical consulting skills, expertise, and collaboration to translate business requirements to functional requirements for technology delivery team. * Manage a portfolio of projects across TAs, providing visibility to business and technology leadership on the status, benefits, costs, and risks of new requests and in-process projects. * Develop comprehensive project estimates and timelines by soliciting input and collecting feedback from all impacted stakeholders. * Effectively utilize all available resources, either within or outside of direct span of control, to manage diverse workload, maximize productivity and encourage innovation. * Work across IT and business functions to negotiate and secure the availability of resources to meet the demands of the TAs. * Work with technical resources, to ensure that systems are architected in a way that results in technology synergies and simplified integration to help manage multi-vendor relationships and ensure compliance with data security and architecture standards. * Interacts well with diverse groups across business and technology functions and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators. * Makes contributions to identifying overall process and/or technology improvements. * Responsible for compliance with applicable Phramaceutical client Policies and procedures. * Work with minimal oversight; deliverables and relationships are monitored through periodic reviews. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree with 5 years' experience; Master's Degree with 2 years' experience; - including business analysis and project management. * 1-2 years' experience working with Pharma Medical Affairs is desired * Previous Pharma experience is required * Resource must be local, will be required to be in the office 2 to 3 times a week * Years of experience/education and/or certifcations required: degree plus 5 years exp * What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have? 1: Customer facing exp 2: Requirement collect within the IT space 3: Digital Content 4: * What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
