We have urgent requirement with one of our Direct client’s (No hidden Layers) , please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DYESJP00019583 Title: Enterprise Storage Engineer Location: North Chicago, IL Duration: 6-12 Months+ Locals preferred (Hybrid Remote – 3-4 days onsite for week) Job Description Pharmaceutical client is looking for a highly motived Storage Operations Engineer that will be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and operations of storage services for on-prem. The ideal candidate will have a solid understand of storage solutions involving multiple disciplines and collaborate with business units to provide consultation and support for hosting solutions with a focus on best practices and security for all storage hosting services and solutions. This role will also be expected to investigate and assist engineers with new technologies focused on automation to enhance and secure the on-prem storage platforms to provide agility to the business. Responsibilities • Assist Engineer and implement storage solutions including Dell EMC Unity, PowerScale, VMAX Family, NetApp, • Strong experience with data center expansions for compute and storage utilizing Dell/EMC, VxRail and VxRack Hyper converged solutions • Possess strong troubleshooting skills in Storage solutions and Hyperconverged technologies • Implements best practices, governance and security controls across storage infrastructure • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the engineering and implementation of new storage application solutions • Provide support to outsourced operations team to ensure Incident and Problem Management is a mechanism that feeds continuous improvement • Establishes strong partnerships with key vendors, BTO’s, and infrastructure teams to deploy datacenter infrastructure • Collaborates with the Engineer team on standards and strategies • Adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies Qualifications Preferred • Dell/EMC Storage Specialist or Expert • Dell/EMC Converged Infrastructure Specialist or Expert Experience and Skills Preferred • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and 3-5 years’ experience. • Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advance the business. • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work. • Recent work experience health care/life science organization is a plus • Experience in the systems implementation, and operations of a large-scale, enterprise systems • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members • Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented • Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills • Must have a strong customer focus • Preferred experience with VMWare, ESX Server with Virtual Center.
