*Position: Java Developer* *Location: Kansas City, Missouri(Onsite)* *Type: Contract* *Only USC for this role* *Job Description* Designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications that are high-volume and low-latency, required for mission-critical systems in support of BOP, USMS, DOJ and partners. Delivering high availability and performance in cloud-based environments. Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle and in test and production systems. Writing well-designed, efficient, and testable code with supporting documentation while being managed within the DevSecOps framework. Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging. Managing application development tools, resources and environments. Ensuring designs comply with specifications, user requirements, and BOP, USMS, and DOJ policies. Preparing and producing releases of software components and maintaining branch structures for easy code repository upload and management. Working within an agile development framework, managing backlog development, sprint, and current releases. Support continuous improvement. Integrating with feeder systems and technologies (e.g. web services, dbcc, etc.).
