Role: Oracle Database Administrator Location: Morrisville, NC, 27560 (Day 1 onsite) Rate: $58/HR on C2C (MAX) Job Description: * Installation of Oracle Software/Database Pre-requisites. * Oracle Database Basic Administration and Latest Features. * Maintain instance parameters and system settings * Migrating databases using various tools such as SQL*Loader, Import/Export and Data pump. * Applying and Testing security patches to the databases. Managing User Accounts. * Experience in cloning using cold backup, hot-backup and RMAN backup. * Good knowledge of 10g/11g features as Data Pump, ASM and Flash back recovery. * Experience in basic Performance Tuning and Monitoring using various tools such as AWR, TKPROF and Explain Plan. * Database Resource Management and Task Scheduling. * Scheduling Database Backups, taking Logical Backups & Physical Backups. * Implementing Database Security Policy. * Experience with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching * Experience in PL/SQL and worked on ER Diagrams. * OCA(Essential),OCP(Desired),ITIL(Essential) * Evaluate the Database Server Hardware. * Define/Recommend/Maintain database Standards and Architecture. * Future Release management for database/instance and Impact Analysis. * 3rd Party Vendor Support and Interaction (including TAR and OS) and can handle Client Independently * Should be able to mentor L1 and L2 DBAs. Should be able to diagnose clustered environment. * Advance Database Performance Tuning Applications, Instance/Kernel Parameters and Tuning Memory. * Usage of AWR and ADDM, translate this and suggest the improvement based on this. * Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies using RMAN or tools. * Knowledge of Advanced Replication, Queuing and Streams. * Good Working experience of Installation & administration of RAC(Real Application Clusters) 11g & 12c. * Flash Recovery Features & Flash back query. * Having experience of DR setup through various synch methods. * Designing strategy towards Capacity Management (Growth) for DB tracks. * Designing/Recommending Database Security Policy. * Knowledge of Data warehousing and Other Technologies (RDBMS). * Knowledge on AWS/Oracle/Azure/Google Cloud Technologies. * Experience on Sun / Veritas / Microsoft Cluster.
