*Role: Business Analyst* Location: USA – Remote Duration: 12+ months Interview: Video *Domain: *Legal, Judicial or Public Sector Governance *Job Summary* The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing business processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the implementation of technology solutions to enhance the administration of justice. This role involves collaborating with judges, court administrators, IT teams, and other stakeholders to identify needs, gather requirements, and develop data-driven solutions to support the appellate court's strategic objectives. *Key Responsibilities* *Process Analysis and Improvement*: · Evaluate existing court processes, including case management, docketing, and records management, to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. · Design and document streamlined workflows to enhance operational efficiency and reduce case backlog. · Develop process maps, flowcharts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and clarity. *Requirements Gathering and Stakeholder Collaboration*: · Work closely with judges, clerks, attorneys, and administrative staff to gather and document business requirements for new systems or process changes. · Facilitate workshops, interviews, and focus groups to understand stakeholder needs and pain points. · Translate complex legal and administrative requirements into clear, actionable specifications for IT teams. *Technology Implementation Support*: · Collaborate with IT teams to implement and enhance court management systems, such as electronic case filing (ECF), document management systems, and Salesforce-based solutions. · Assist in testing, training, and change management for new technology deployments to ensure successful adoption by court staff. *Qualifications* *Education*: · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP, Salesforce Certified Administrator) is preferred. · *Experience*: · Minimum of 11+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably in a legal, judicial, or public sector environment. · Hands-on experience with Salesforce, including configuring knowledge of flows, reports and dashboards, and user roles and permissions. · Familiarity with court management systems, electronic filing systems, or legal technology is highly desirable. *Skills and Competencies*: · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and processes. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including legal professionals and technical teams. · Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio, JIRA or other process modeling software. · Knowledge of Salesforce capabilities is preferred. · Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Understanding of appellate court operations, legal terminology, and judicial processes is a plus. *Working Conditions* · Remote work environment with possible travel to court locations or administrative offices. · May require working outside regular hours to meet project deadlines or support court operations.
