*Position: MDM Technical Architect with Match 360 Exp*
*Location: Remote*
*Duration: 3 months*
The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert with a deep understanding of the
entire MDM lifecycle, from data ingestion and analysis to matching,
stewardship, and consumption. You will be the technical authority for the
Match 360 solution, responsible for translating business requirements into
a robust, scalable, and high-performing master data hub.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- *Solution Architecture & Design:*
- Lead the overall technical design and architecture of the IBM Match
360 solution on the Cloud Pak for Data platform.
- Define and configure the master data model, including record types,
attributes, relationships, and taxonomies within Match 360.
- Ensure the solution aligns with enterprise architecture standards,
security policies, and business objectives.
- *Data Ingestion & Integration:*
- Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines to load data
from various source systems into the CP4D environment.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish best practices
for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) into Match 360.
- *Data Analysis & Quality:*
- Perform in-depth source data analysis and profiling to understand
data structures, quality gaps, and business rules.
- Develop and implement data cleansing, standardization, validation,
and enrichment rules using IBM's data quality toolsets and Match 360
capabilities.
- *Matching & Stewardship Configuration:*
- Design, configure, test, and fine-tune the matching and linking
algorithms (probabilistic and deterministic) to accurately identify
duplicates and create master records ("Golden Records").
- Set up and manage data stewardship workflows, review thresholds,
and user interfaces for resolving potential matches and data
quality issues.
- Train and support data stewards in using the platform effectively.
- *Implementation & Governance:*
- Serve as the hands-on technical lead throughout the project
lifecycle, performing configuration and development tasks directly within
the platform.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data governance councils,
and IT teams to define and enforce data governance policies.
- Design and implement data consumption patterns, services, and APIs
for downstream applications and analytics platforms.
- *Documentation & Support:*
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation,
including data models, architectural diagrams, configuration guides, and
operational procedures.
- Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and performance
tuning of the Match 360 solution.

*Required Qualifications & Skills:*
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a
related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data management, data integration, or data
architecture roles.
- 3+ years of proven, hands-on experience designing and implementing MDM
solutions, with specific and recent expertise in *IBM Match 360*.
- Strong proficiency with the *IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D)* platform,
including its core components, services, and architecture.
- Deep understanding of MDM principles, including data modeling, data
governance, data quality, data stewardship, and survivorship rules.
- Demonstrable experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and
configuring complex matching algorithms.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with a scripting language (e.g.,
Python) for data manipulation and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to
translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
- IBM Certified Specialist - Cloud Pak for Data v4.x or similar
certifications.
- Experience with other components of the IBM Data Fabric, such as
Watson Knowledge Catalog (WKC), DataStage, or QualityStage.
- Knowledge of REST APIs and integration patterns for consuming master
data.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
