Server Patch and Configuration Principal Engineer Key Responsibilities • Implement, manage, and monitor patch management policies and procedures to ensure effective protection from vulnerabilities. • Oversee the configuration management of Windows Servers (2016-2022) and Windows Enterprise (10, 11), ensuring optimal performance and compliance with standards. • Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell and/or Python to streamline system management processes. • Maintain and administer Active Directory, Advanced Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP, and related network services. • Manage TLS certificates and ensure secure system communications. • Troubleshoot complex system issues across Windows and RHEL platforms, leveraging advanced understanding of system logs and diagnostic techniques. • Work with development teams to manage code versions and maintain repositories effectively using Git, GitHub, and Azure DevOps (AzDo) pipelines. • Configure and maintain system management tools such as SCCM, Intune, Auto Patch, and Ansible for automated system updates and configurations. • Collaborate with teams across the organization to share knowledge and assist in training efforts to ensure best practices in IT management.
