Funny stuff.
I just don't see what all the fuss is about.
I think if you give me about four weeks I could iron out any and all
problems and/or details.
Lately, our contracts have given me a headache.

University of Alabama football coach Mike Shula could have a signed contract
"within days," according to one of his legal advisers.

Russ Campbell, a Birmingham-based agent, said it's just a matter of
finishing the university's "approval process." That process includes review
and approval of the finished contract by UA President Robert Witt, UA
Chancellor Malcolm Portera and the UA System Board of Trustees Compensation
Committee.

The contract is expected to be worth $900,000 per year over six years and
include a $1 million buyout.

A seventh year will be automatically added if Alabama wins seven games this
season.

The contract also includes an incentive package, which could add up to as
much as $600,000 per year and will include a $50,000 bonus if Alabama wins
at least six games in 2003.

Shula agreed in principle to the terms soon after accepting the job on May 8
and signed a letter of intent to sign the contract at that time.

The negotiations apparently have not included the problems which marred the
process of renegotiating Dennis Franchione's contract and trying to finalize
Mike Price's deal. Campbell termed the process "relatively smooth sailing."
