Looks like the King left some of his Court in New
Orleans. :-)

Hasty departure
-- Football teams aren't inclined to hang around after
a galling defeat like Mississippi State's 31-28 loss
to Tulane on Saturday at the New Orleans Superdome.
Freshman Barrett Pepper kicked a 32-yard field goal
with six seconds left after the Wave recovered a
controversial Bulldogs fumble on a pass reception that
was, depending on the viewer, caught or not held for a
completion. Tulane thus broke a 24-game winless streak
against Southeastern Conference teams.
"We didn't let them spend a lot of time thinking about
it," MSU coach Jackie Sherrill said. "It was, `Get
showered, get dressed and get on the bus (to the
airport).' "

Inadvertently left behind were sports information
director Mike Nemeth and his staff. They made the
310-mile drive back to Starkville, Miss., with team
managers and trainers, arriving at 5:45 a.m. Sunday.
