I'm very proud of the way our players stepped up and almost pulled off the upset. However, I'm extremely disappointed with the way our coaching staff managed to give another one away. Pick any number of calls along the way, but I believe that it was all summed up with about two and a half minutes left. We had the ball on our own 38 with 4th and about two inches. Our coaching staff showed the lack of faith they have in the offense by calling the punt. UT had used all their time outs and getting the first down would have finished the game. If they were worried about Croyle being injured, put in Alvaros, or anyone. There is no excuse for a team not being able to pick up two inches as shown by UT on the goal line. Just the QB taking the snap and falling down will pick that up. I hope the players got the message that the coaches sent...we don't think you'll get it, better not risk it. Hate it for Bostick...twice this season he's had the opportunity to win it only to have something go wrong in the try.
