Comments embedded. Vital cog? Have you looked at the W-L column lately? Yep. Are you ready to replace him with Danny Martz full time? There isn't a single person (except for maybe SW or BC) who can even think for one minute that they are 'vital' while admiring the season thus far. What world are you in? Smiley are Britt are BY FAR our best linemen. Take those two out, and see how the running game "explodes." Continue to play hard? Yep. That is my opinion. Highly doubtable. Here's his quote for review: "For the next few snaps after Wes got hurt until something that took my thought off that, you play not to get hurt." If you say your not affected would be a lie. He's gonna lay down and go thru the motions for the rest of the games. Your opinion. Especially if we get behind. I wouldn't be surprised to see him come up with some 'injury' that keeps him from playing. Then, on the flight back from Hawaii, his 'injury' heals and he's NFL-ready. I say bench his butt and let the others play. yeah, that's really the answer. That type of (verbal) attitude is not needed. What attitude? An HONEST one? Did he EVER say eh wouldn't try the rest of the season. And like I said, if others lay down, then bring out another bench for them. We've gotta have some players who want to play football. For the record, most people have him in the 3rd to 5th round, so if he did make the jump, he in all likelihood wouldn't get a snif at the 1st or 2nd round. If you asked everyone on the team, they would more than likely say teh same thing (if they were honest). JS is a vital cog in our offense, and when he isn't in the lineup it is very noticeable. To say we would be "OK" w/o him is laughable. He will continue to play hard, but evaluate his options at year's end, like they ALL should do (who here wouldn't do the same?).
