I think any coach would like to have a player on their team with the
determination that Pett has! The guy is a spark whenever he is on the floor!

TUSCALOOSA - Former University of Alabama guard Antoine Pettway currently
leads the World Basketball Association in assists. Pettway, who graduated
from Alabama on May 10, joined the Kentucky Reach prior to graduation, as
soon as he finished classes and exams. After six games, Pettway leads the
league with 27 total assists for an average of 4.5 per game. He ranks fourth
in the league in steals with an average of 1.8, ranks fifth in 3-point field
goal percentage (5 of 13 for .385%), and he ranks15th in the league and
second on his team in scoring at 13.5 points a game.

The Kentucky Reach, coached by Dothan native and former Crimson Tide guard
Jim Farmer, is 5-4 overall, third in the league standings. Its next game is
Saturday, May 22 when it hosts the Rome (Georgia) Gladiators. The fledgling
league consists of seven teams presently with a 2005-2006 expansion schedule
to include 10 more teams.

Pettway, a native of Alberta, helped lead Alabama to the 2004 NCAA Elite
Eight as its starting point guard.
