Prothro can thank Brandon Brooks (I think) for blocking two, yes, TWO big blue players on that kick off return. That was great instincts in action. Brooks should get a piece of that award.
Joe
The fraudulence of the left's concern about poverty is exposed by their utter lack of interest in ways of increasing the nation's wealth. Wealth is the only thing that can cure poverty. The reason there is less poverty today is not because the poor got a bigger slice of the pie but because the whole pie got a lot bigger-no thanks to the left.

Prothro Named SEC Special Teams Player of the Week
Monday, October 11, 2004

University of Alabama sophomore split end Tyrone Prothro has been named the Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance in the Crimson Tide's 45-17 victory over the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday.

Prothro had perhaps the most exciting play of the game when he took a Kentucky kickoff two-yards deep in the end zone in the fourth quarter and 14 seconds later he had given the Crimson Tide its first kickoff return for a touchdown of the season and the first for Alabama since Brandon Brooks turned the trick against Auburn on November 22, 2003. It was also the first KO return for a touchdown in Prothro's collegiate career. Prothro currently ranks second in the country in kickoff return average with a mark of 35.4 yards per return.

The award was the second of the season for Alabama as Roman Harper was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week earlier in the year.
