Alabama received a commitment on Friday and is on the verge of receiving 
one from another north Alabama product. North Jackson running 
back/defensive back Ali Sharieff chose the Crimson Tide on Friday and 
defensive back Michael Ricks of R.A. Hubbard is set to pledge to Alabama.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Sharieff, who is expected to play running back 
at Alabama, actually switched his commitment from Auburn to the Crimson 
Tide.

Ricks has been considered a lock for Alabama, but the 6-foot-2, 
185-pounder wanted to wait until his prep season ended. Ricks finished 
with 11 interceptions and led his team into the Class 1A final on 
Friday. R.A. Hubbard lost to Sweet Water 35-7 in the championship game.
