Tim Bailey was on the Finebaum show yesterday, via telephone.
He said he received his license for UA on Wednesday. Finebaum asked him if he was asked by the University about being the official artist. Bailey said he had asked the University if he could be the official artist but the University declined. Bailey says he does the same thing Moore does. He takes a photograph and then paints what's on the photograph. He said he will have a couple of new projects done in May. Here's a complaint about Bailey on "Fox 6 On Your Side" from last year: "March 15, 2004 - Baby Pictures A local woman wanted to make sure her baby's first year would be remembered, so she bought a portrait package through Bailey's Photography in Tuscaloosa. She spent thousands of dollars for several sittings, but was left waiting months for her pictures. That's when she called Fox6 On Your Side. We called the owner, Tim Bailey, who says his workload made it impossible for him to get the pictures ready in time. Bailey also says he closes his studio in January and February for seminars and conventions, making it take longer to have her order ready. Bailey released a statement to Fox6 On Your Side saying, "I never knew this would be so alarming..", and he apologizes for any inconvenience. Bailey says he has spoken to his client, and she should get her pictures any day now." Bailey says he has a website but I donut know what it is. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of kurtrasmussen > Sent: Saturday, April 30, 2005 1:11 PM > To: rtf > Subject: [RollTideFan] Taylorville man may capture UA events > > > Article published Apr 29, 2005 > Taylorville man may capture UA events > > By Anna Maria Della Costa > City Editor > > TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama officials are talking to a > Taylorville man about the possibility of doing some portrait > artist work > for sporting events, a UA spokesperson confirmed Thursday. > > Janet Griffith, assistant vice president for University > Relations, said > the university is discussing giving Tim Bailey, a 35-year-old > who owns > Bailey Photography in Taylorville, a non-exclusive license. > > "It's always been my wish to be able to be associated with > the Crimson > Tide," said Bailey, who is an eight-year Navy veteran and served in > Desert Storm. > _______________________________________________ RTF mailing list RTF@rolltidefan.net http://rolltidefan.net/mailman/listinfo/rtf_rolltidefan.net
