TUSCALOOSA | The entire 1,500-page response to motions
for dismissal in the Ronnie Cottrell and Ivy Williams
$60 million defamation lawsuit against the National
Collegiate Athletic Association and others was placed
under seal Thursday morning.

At the request of the defendants, Tuscaloosa attorney
Delaine Mountain asked the court to seal the entire
document, which includes depositions and testimony that
are covered by a protective order. The original motion
is also under seal.

The response to motions for summary judgment was filed
at approximately 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, just before the
Tuscaloosa County Court House closed for the day.

The case is scheduled for trial July 11 at the bench of
Judge Stephen Wilson.
