Dear All,
draft-mtm-rtgwg-vrrp-p2mp-bfd replaces draft-mirsky-bfd-p2mp-vrrp-use-case. The
document proposes an optional extension to VRRP, allowing the Master to
bootstrap the p2mp BFD session on other VRRP routers in the group. Using p2mp
BFD enables sub-second, e.g., 100 ms, detection of the Master failure without
the overhead of BFD state on the Master router.
The authors welcome your comments.

Abstract:
This document discusses the applicability of Bidirectional Forwarding
Detection (BFD) for multipoint networks to provide Virtual Router
Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) with sub-second Master convergence and
defines the extension to bootstrap point-to-multipoint BFD session.
