Hello All,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the FANTEL BoF session in Madrid.
Your engagement and feedback drove a productive discussion on Network
Notifications. Special thanks to Yingzhen and Carlos for chairing the
session, and to Alvaro for his support as the IAB shepherd.

All BoF proceedings, including minutes, recordings, and poll results are
available here [1].

Key Takeaways:
- The community expressed strong interest in the use-cases around Network
Notifications and the willingness to contribute to this work at the IETF.
- Valuable feedback highlighted the need for clearer definition of the
problem space, deployment scenarios, and requirements.

After consulting with Jim, Gunter, and the RTGWG chairs, it has been agreed
that the RTGWG is the appropriate working group to incubate this work, as
outlined in its charter [2].

We invite the community to contribute and help develop the following for
Network Notifications:
1) Applicability: Identify and describe targeted deployment scenarios
2) Problem Space: Clarify trigger mechanisms, usage contexts, and
interactions with existing protocols
3) Requirements: Define what information should be conveyed, required
performance, scale, stability, security, and other considerations

The RTGWG chairs will guide and shepherd this continued work. Once the
draft(s) adopted in RTGWG reach maturity in the opinion of the WG chairs
(supported by thorough reviews and active participation), future steps will
be determined.

We encourage the same level of active participation in this WG as seen in
the BoF. Your expertise and input are vital to shaping the work on Network
Notifications at the IETF.

Thank you,
Ketan
(Responsible AD for the FANTEL BoF)
